Bob’s Banter by Robert Clements Of Lust, Bishops, and Wrestlers..!

And then I see a Bishop, one who was accused of raping a nun, but exonerated by a lower court, now asked to resign by his head office in Rome.

As I watch these innocent teenage girls protesting in Delhi, yes indeed, our daughters who won glory for our country, weeping, appealing, and imploring an impassive, immune nation, to act against lecherous, lewd hands that allegedly groped their young vulnerable bodies while inviting them to share their bed for some nutritional supplements, I shudder with disgust, at how callous we have become, and how unaffected we are!

And then I see a Bishop, one who was accused of raping a nun, but exonerated by a lower court, now asked to resign by his head office in Rome. Why? Didn’t the lower court find him innocent? Didn’t he walk away free? Then why the order to resign?
Because, his bosses know, there’s no smoke without fire!

Just look at the faces and body language of the Bishop and the accused MP and you smell the smoke; not just a whiff, nor is it a small puff, but a huge tsunami of stench from a blazing fire!

Many years ago, a bearded Man of God, looked at his followers straight in the eye and said, “I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart”

That’s it! For Christ it wasn’t smoke, it was the fire itself!

A few years ago, when Bill Clinton was accused of having a relationship with an intern, he tried to squeeze out of the situation by defining sex. I’m not going to go into the details. He did, and sadly, the American people forgave him, for using his high office to lure a young girl into a sexual relationship.

Today, we need to stop using Clinton’s yardstick and use the one Christ used, which is of looking at the smoke, which makes us realize that both the Bishop and the accused MP held feelings of lust for those who were put in their care. Which is as good as adultery!

What more proof do you need? The Vatican made a good move by taking the Bishop away from situations where he would make women uncomfortable, and the government of India, needs to have their man resign from his post too and get him far away from public life.

Are you concerned? Do you watch these young teenage girls, yes indeed, our daughters who won glory for our country, weeping, appealing, and imploring an impassive, immune nation, to act against lecherous, lewd hands that allegedly groped their young vulnerable bodies while inviting them to share their bed?

Do you then just shudder at how callous we have become, or will you instead raise your voice to remove this ball of fire, not just smoke, before such unacceptable behavior becomes an accepted norm with your daughter and mine?
